From the 21st of October 2011, a workshop was conducted in our campus, at the behest of CENSA. The subject of discussion was IBM DB2 9.7. The program was conducted exclusively for the pre-final year students. The resource person was Mr. Ratnam from IBM. The students were given appropriate training on the IBM product. An online examination was conducted to assess the knowledge they had gained on the subject. The exam was conducted on the 15th of November, 2011. A total of 59 students cleared the exam and were certified as IBM professionals.

DB2 also powers the different IBM InfoSphere Warehouse editions. Alongside DB2 is another RDBMS: Informix, which was acquired by IBM in 2001.
